Angel in Disguise - Poem

There she is

Lookin’ away

She doesn’t even look like she belongs in this day.

She’s an angel

Here in disguise

I can see it hidden in her eyes.

But she hides something

Deeper than you know

She has so much behind her, following in tow.

She’s kept locked up in a cage

Where the lock hangs, rusted and old

She’s tucked into herself, alone and oh so cold.

Can you save her life?

You must find the key to unlock the lock

Time is ticking, there’s not much left on the clock.

She wants to fly

Open her wings and go up high

Because that’s where she’s from, the owner of the sky.

The wind billows through her hair

It and the sun her only friend

She will be free, her will won’t bend.

Now if you try to harm her

Your heart will be broken

No matter what, she won’t be your token.

But if you let her free

And get here out of that cage

She’ll repay you for all of that age.

Because she owns it all

She’ll give you anything and everything you need

The sun, moon and stars, that’s where she’ll lead.

There she is

Lookin’ up into her sky so far away

She never has belonged in this day.

Because she’s an angel

She’s here in disguise

I can see it there in her eyes.

The Chronicles of the Letters - A Preview

They swarmed in, surrounding the bad in a circle and trapping them from escaping. Everybody was paired with one person against another. Yuffie got Garnet, Jewel paired with Brian, and Hera stepped up to Alexander, all glaring at their opponents.

Each and every person’s cries and shouts went into the air as each person started their separate and entirely different battles. And so began the Battle of the Letters.

Yuffie was furious with her sword, strengthening her blows with each hit, but Garnet fended them off easily, and without struggle. “I hate you, you know! You even hate your own side and kind!” Yuffie shouted at Garnet.

She laughed gently, “At least I don’t like the imbecilic one on the other side, unlike you, Yuffie, even you are scum compared to that moron.”

Yuffie glared and made a quick and very powerful blow, underhanded, and hit Garnet’s sword out of her hands. She stepped forward anger flaring and pushed Garnet to the ground and raised her sword high above her, aiming directly above Garnets’ rapidly beating heart.

But, meanwhile, Jewel was hastily and easily beating Brian to a pulp. He had already lost his sword; earned a black eye, several bleeding scratches that would become scars and was also now pinned to the ground with a livid Jewel.

And while both those fights were happening along with all the other letters battling one another, Alexander and Hera confronted one another. She smiled evilly but happily, and then swung her sword at his knees. He blocked her and tried to fight back using weight. She managed to shove back using her power of air and pushed him over.

He hit the ground, then sprung up with ease, ready to fight again. Hera shook her head, then flipped into the air, and in one quick fluid movement she landed behind him and slung her sword over him. He dropped his sword in pain as her sword sliced his hand.

She then pulled her sword back up and had it against his throat while he stood panting helplessly. Hera noticed Yuffie, “Stop, we made need her soon enough.” Yuffie pulled back but still had a foot on her stomach to make sure she didn’t try anything.  Hera then happily stated in Alexander’s ear with a hiss, “Maybe you would like to rethink that treaty now.”
